Yes! Yes!

Our story continues in week 2 and the journey isn’t slowing down at all. We’re already seeing the fruits of weeks of study and grinding.

FinFast is truly becoming!!!

One thing that stood out for us this week, (Especially, the Front-end developers) is the pace at which we were expected to work. We had to design the landing page and make it responsive to customer service chat and FAQs. It was time the sleeves were rolled up and the dirty work began. The Front-end developers had their hands full and frankly, they lived up to expectations and we all can proudly say we have a solid team.

You know the general opinion that Big Brother Show is a constant distraction for the youth and young people generally, this was far from it as all teams pulled their weight even on the launch day of the show. It showed team spirit and commitment.

We had little challenges brainstorming as our schedules are always tight to the T. Especially those in Lagos state. The traffic situation never gets better.

The low-fi and high-fi wireframes came in from the product design team and it was a beautiful piece (even if it’s not supposed to be beautiful). They went all out for the design and it represented and captured the essence of the project “Ease”.

The Product Management team was given the task to supervise every other team. The team was to do a daily walk-through with each team and report to the team lead and documentation was to be done on Trello.! It goes without saying… the backlash from other sub-team awaiting feedback from the PM team was at its all-time high. You have to be prepared for unexpected issues and setbacks as a product manager.

Digital marketing and social media were tasked to grow the social media platform of FinFast by a hundred followers and start implementing the social media content calendar from last week.

In all sincerity, it’s been an interesting experience so far.

Lest I forget, we have our brand guide. It is simple and beautiful.

The road to delivering a platform where small businesses can easily consolidate all financial and accounting needs is gradually coming together and we will deliver a world-class product in a couple of weeks.
